The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) shall comply with the following guidance, documents and instructions.

HTA to comply with:

• Relevant dear accounting officer (DAO) letters

• Relevant guidance and instructions issued by the Treasury in respect of whole of government accounts

• Civil Service pay guidance (updated annually)

• Public sector pay and terms

• Whistleblowing guidance and code of practice

• Equalities Act 2010

General

HTA to comply with:

• Freedom of Information Act

• Guide to freedom of information

• Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman’s principles of good administration

• other relevant instructions and guidance issued by the central departments (Cabinet Office and HM Treasury)

• recommendations made by the Public Accounts Committee, or by other Parliamentary authority, that have been accepted by the government and are relevant to the HTA

• Guidance from the public bodies team in Cabinet Office

• Civil Service diversity and inclusion strategy (outlines the ambition, to which arm’s length bodies can contribute)

• Guidance produced by the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA) on management of major projects
