The Tribunal Procedure Committee (TPC) is considering whether to introduce clearer and more consistent rules across tribunals, including giving explicit powers to order payments on account of costs, to award interest on costs in certain tribunals, and to clarify the use of Pro Bono Costs Orders. The aim is to improve clarity, consistency and fairness in how costs are handled, while ensuring the rules remain simple, accessible and effective in supporting the efficient administration of justice.
