Agriculture Bill (Money)

Queen’s recommendation signified. Motion made, and Question put forthwith (Standing Order No. 52(1)( a )), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Agriculture Bill, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of money provided by Parliament of: (1) sums required by the Secretary of State for— (a) giving financial assistance to any person under the Act; (b) making delinked payments (in place of direct payments under the basic payment scheme) by virtue of the Act; (c) operating the public market intervention and aid for private storage mechanisms under retained direct EU legislation in response to exceptional conditions in agricultural markets; (2) any administrative expenditure incurred by the Secretary of State by virtue of the Act; and (3) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable out of money so provided by virtue of any other Act.— (Craig Whittaker.)
