Conditions of Authorisation Review & Fire Doorsets self-certification - Call for Evidence
The Building Safety Regulator has launched a review of the Conditions of Authorisation to ensure that existing Self Certification Schemes remain effective, proportionate and fit for purpose within the current building safety regulatory framework. Through this call for evidence, we aim to identify any issues within the current regulatory system and explore pathways for improvement with the overarching goal of strengthening consumer confidence and enhancing the efficiency and accountability of Schemes and their members. In addition, we are seeking practical evidence, experiences, and views from the sector to explore whether they could inform a proposal to introduce a self-certification scheme for fire doorset installations, maintenance and replacements across England and Wales.
