We want to know what you think about our proposals to introduce new powers and penalties for the Protected Food Name scheme. These will provide proportionate and effective enforcement in the form of civil sanctions.

Our proposals include improving how inspection results are reported by control bodies.

We’re also asking about adding a right of appeal on decisions for registering a Protected Food Name.
