HM Treasury response to EU Commission’s call for evidence on EU regulatory framework for financial services

HMT cover note and technical examples submitted in response to the EU Commission’s call for evidence on the EU regulatory framework for financial services. DG FISMA’s call for evidence is part of the Lord Hill’s Capital Markets Union action plan, launched 30 September 2015.

The consultation looks at rules affecting the ability of the economy to finance itself and grow; unnecessary regulatory burdens; interactions, inconsistencies and gaps; and rules giving rise to unintended consequences.
