▤ Verbatim text from source document

This is the final consultation stage impact assessment that is part of the housing standards review documents published in March 2015.

This impact assessment sets out the costs of introducing a simplified and rationalised, single security standard which will provide protection from burglary for all new homes.

The evidence used in this impact assessment is further supported by 3 reports prepared for the department by EC Harris and Adroit Economics. These set out the cost impacts (PDF, 1.79MB, 116 pages), a local authority policy survey (PDF, 605KB, 42 pages) and evidence (PDF, 1MB, 69 pages).
