The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 (Commencement No. 8) Regulations 2024
These are the eighth commencement Regulations under the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 (c. 26, “the Act”). They bring into force section 87 of the Act for the purpose of bringing into force section 156B of the Companies Act 2006 (c. 46) which contains a power for the Secretary of State to make provision in regulations for cases in which a person who is not a natural person may be appointed a director of a company.

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 161(2)(a) and 164(1) of the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015(

Citation and extent
1.
—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 (Commencement No. 8) Regulations 2024.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Provision coming into force on 4th March 2024

Section 87(4) (requirement for all company directors to be natural persons) of the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 comes into force on 4th March 2024 for the purpose of bringing into force section 156B (power to provide for exceptions from requirement that each director be a natural person) of the Companies Act 2006(

These are the eighth commencement Regulations under the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 (c. 26, “the Act”). They bring into force section 87 of the Act for the purpose of bringing into force section 156B of the Companies Act
