While we support the new independent commission into adult social care led by Baroness Casey, we are concerned that the proposed timescale means that urgent reforms to social care services will not be implemented soon enough to overcome the severity of the crisis in adult social care. If no action is taken by the time the commission concludes in 2028, it may be too late to stabilise the system. (Conclusion, Paragraph 93)
