We support and echo the conclusions of the recent report Adult Social Care Reform by the Health and Social Care committee. As they have said in the summary of their report, successive Governments have not fully considered the human and financial costs of inaction on social care reform, including costs falling on local authorities and their residents. The cost of doing nothing is now unsustainable, and reform is urgently needed. (Conclusion, Paragraph 91)
