Improving the energy performance of privately rented homes in England and Wales - 2025 update

The purpose of this 2025 consultation is to seek views on the government’s proposals to raise minimum energy efficiency standards (MEES) for privately rented homes in England and Wales by 2030. This consultation also includes a summary of responses to the 2020 consultation which we have considered whilst drafting this follow-on consultation and will form part of consideration on policy choices.
