To avoid confusion for the sector, the Government needs to more clearly distinguish between which Maritime 2050 recommendations are specific actions and which are aspirations. To ensure the continued success of the Maritime 2050 strategy, the Government should review the current recommendations and set out key performance indicators and targets for each so that it is possible to track and assess where progress has or has not been made.
