The new 2026 to 2036 SAHP is intended to combine the best elements of previous programmes with new design elements to maximise delivery and ensure it enables providers to build the types of homes the country needs. The core strategic objective of this new programme will be to maximise supply - particularly of Social Rent homes, with a target to deliver at least 60% of the homes under the programme as Social Rent.
