Consultation on the treatment of electrolytic hydrogen in Climate Change Levy and the changing energy context
The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, and HM Treasury are consulting on reforms to Climate Change Agreements (CCAs), which provide tax relief for energy-intensive industries that meet carbon reduction targets. Current work includes consultation on a new CCA scheme, electrolytic hydrogen provisions, and alignment with the Climate and Nature Bill and carbon budgets.
