Disabled people's rights: UK 2022 follow-up report to UNCRPD 2016 inquiry
A response to the recommendations issued to the UK by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
This issue concerns the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) in UK law and policy, led by the Department for Work and Pensions and the Disability Unit. The UK has been a signatory since 2008, but implementation gaps remain across education, health, transport, and welfare, with particular concerns about disabled girls' access to menstrual health support and broader accessibility of services and products.
