UK-EU Trade Cooperation
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and HM Treasury are negotiating further trade cooperation with the EU to reduce barriers beyond the Trade and Cooperation Agreement. Priority areas include regulatory alignment on chemicals and pharmaceuticals, VAT and customs simplification, professional qualifications mutual recognition, and addressing non-tariff barriers affecting UK-EU trade.
