Forensic Science Regulation

The Forensic Science Regulator, working with the Home Office and Biometrics and Surveillance Camera Commissioner, is developing updated codes of practice for forensic science standards and quality assurance. The 2025 draft code of practice represents the current regulatory framework governing forensic laboratories, evidence handling, and scientific testimony in criminal justice.
