The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport is reforming gambling regulation, specifically addressing gaming machines (particularly B2 and Category D machines) and bingo premises licensing. Multiple bills are progressing through Parliament to modernise the regulatory framework and address high street gambling concerns. The policy aims to balance consumer protection with industry regulation across arcades, betting shops, and bingo halls.
