Ivory Act Extension

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs is leading work to extend the Ivory Act 2018 beyond African elephant ivory to cover other ivory-bearing species such as hippopotamus and narwhal. The extension aims to close loopholes in wildlife trafficking controls and is currently in active consultation phase with stakeholders.
