Ofqual is establishing new GCSE qualifications in French, German, and Spanish through consultation and regulatory guidance on subject-level conditions and requirements. The process includes drafting conditions, consulting stakeholders, and publishing final guidance to awarding bodies on how to design and deliver these modern language GCSEs. This is an active qualification development initiative.
