Nuclear Regulatory Review

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management are conducting a regulatory review of the nuclear sector, including proposed amendments to the Nuclear Safeguards (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 and associated fees regulations. The review responds to the government's 'Building our nuclear nation' agenda and addresses post-Brexit nuclear safeguards, licensing, and regulatory fees. This is an active review with government response published in 2025.
