Offshore Hydrogen Regulation

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is developing regulatory and economic frameworks for offshore hydrogen production and pipeline networks in Great Britain. The policy aims to establish market rules and environmental assessment procedures for 100% hydrogen pipelines and offshore hydrogen infrastructure. This is an active consultation and regulatory development process to enable hydrogen as part of the clean energy transition.
