The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is conducting a comprehensive review of Ofgem, the energy regulator, to assess its effectiveness and modernise its regulatory framework for both domestic and non-domestic energy markets. The review examines Ofgem's governance, powers, and approach to regulation in light of changing energy markets and net zero transition. The review is in active stage with a final report published and implementation of recommendations underway.
