Online Procedure Rules

The Online Procedure Rule Committee is developing new rules to digitise civil court procedures in England and Wales, with the core framework set out in the 2026 Rules and pilot schemes underway. The reform aims to improve access to justice and court efficiency through online case management, better claimant support, and integration of the County Court case management system. Current status includes draft regulations for specified proceedings and new practice directions being consulted on.
