Project Gigabit Broadband Rollout

Project Gigabit is a government-led broadband infrastructure rollout programme led by Building Digital UK and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, aimed at delivering gigabit-capable connectivity to underserved premises across the UK. The programme is currently active and uses an Open Market Review process to identify intervention areas, with recent focus on rural connectivity gaps and regional deployment priorities. Current activity includes rolling consultations, premises assessments, and public review closures across different local authority areas.
