Project Gigabit Programme

Building Digital UK is delivering Project Gigabit, a broadband infrastructure programme providing gigabit-capable connectivity to underserved areas across the UK. The programme has faced significant cost challenges and is being supplemented by 5G and 6G investment strategies, with £400 million spent on 5G development and further funding allocated for regional growth and advanced technology research.
