Martyn's Law requires operators of publicly accessible venues to implement protective security measures against terrorism threats. Led by the Home Office following the Manchester Arena Inquiry, the Protect Duty establishes a legal obligation for venue operators to assess risks and implement reasonable mitigation measures. The policy is currently active with consultation responses being processed and implementation frameworks being developed.
