The Protection from Sex-based Harassment in Public Act 2023 (Commencement) Regulations 2026
These Regulations bring into force the provisions of the Protection from Sex-based Harassment in Public Act 2023 (c. 47) (“the 2023 Act”).
This reform creates new criminal offences and strengthens protections against sexual harassment and abuse, led by the Home Office. It covers public sexual harassment, non-contact sexual offences, voyeurism, and sexual abuse by sports coaches, with particular focus on workplace harassment and third-party harassment. Recent bills include the Protection from Sex-based Harassment in Public Act 2023, Sexual Offences (Sports Coaches) Bill, and Voyeurism (Offences) Bill.
