Victims Justice System Reform

The Ministry of Justice is leading a comprehensive reform of the victims' justice system through multiple legislative vehicles including the Victims and Courts Act 2026 and the Victims and Prisoners Act 2024. The reform addresses victim support, disclosure of institutional records in abuse cases, domestic abuse tackling, and victim participation in the criminal justice process. This is an active, multi-bill legislative programme to strengthen victim protections and access to justice.
