World Cup 2026 Licensing Hours

The Home Office is implementing temporary relaxation of licensing hours for the FIFA Men's Football World Cup 2026, specifically for semi-final and final matches, through the Licensing Hours Extensions Bill. The government has consulted on contingent hour extensions and published a consultation outcome. This allows licensed premises to extend trading hours during major tournament events.
