The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government are establishing Future Homes and Buildings Standards to mandate net-zero carbon emissions in new buildings and retrofits. The standards are supported by the Carbon Emissions from Buildings (Net Zero) Bill and Building Regulations (Minimum Standards) Bill, with impact assessments and the Home Energy Model completed.
